Going through a big change? You don't have to do it alone.
Starting a business, leaving a job, relocating, becoming a parent, a relationship ending or simply wondering what comes next. New Beginnings brings together people in Guernsey who are in the middle of a change, or thinking about one, so there is always someone who understands.
Who it suits
Anyone at any stage of a transition. Some people come while they are still exploring an idea, others are deep in the middle of it, and some come back once things have settled to help the next person.
This is a community of peers, not a therapy group or a course. Marc and Sonia are there as friendly hosts who keep the space welcoming and safe.
Two ways to get together
Coffee and conversation on Wednesday and Friday mornings at the Bathing Pools, 10:00 to 13:00. Have a drink, meet people and talk about life, ideas or whatever is on your mind.
Building Mondays at The Duke, 09:30 to 12:30. Bring your laptop and something you want to move forward, with practical AI support. Read more about Building Mondays.
What to expect
What people share stays private, and there is no judgment. Our one real rule is simple: don't be a dick. No gossip, no making others feel small.
Join free when you need support. As your situation improves, you're invited to give back to sustain the community for the next person. No pressure, no forms.
If a new group feels daunting, get in touch and we can arrange to meet you 15 minutes before a gathering so you have a familiar face when everyone arrives.
Changes that involve a move
If your change means moving to Guernsey, the free Welcome Aboard guide covers the practical side of island life. It is optional reading, not a requirement for joining. You might also like our page on making friends in Guernsey.
Come and say hello.
Leave your details on the join form and we will add you to the WhatsApp group, where every gathering is shared. If walking into a new group feels daunting, mention it and we can arrange to meet you 15 minutes before a gathering.
